NO LEAF HOCKEY!

With the 2010 Vancouver Olympics under way, the NHL has been brought to a halt. Having this break leaves no real Leaf talk to discuss. So we are going to talk about Team Canada and there quest for Gold in Vancouver.
Team Canada’s men’s hockey team has been struggling throughout the tournament and yesterday there struggles were shown, falling to the Americans 5-3 in the last preliminary game before the actually tournament is underway. With that lose Canada now has to take a long route to win Gold on home soil, having to now play 1 extra game than 4 of the competitors. Canada 4 years ago had the same struggles and finished in a terrible position after being favorite to win the tournament, Canada finished 7th place and there critics became there worst enemy. We as a nation hope they finish better than last time.
Team Canada’s women’s hockey has been nothing but perfect, blowing there opponents away 18-0, 10-1, and 13-1 giving them a by to the semi finals where they will match up against a not so strong Finland team. We’re looking forward to see Canada’s women team go for there 3rd straight Gold.
Hockey is Canada, and as a Canadian I am hoping to see them sweep the Gold medals just like in Salt Lake City in 2002 where men and women’s hockey took home Gold, both over the United States.
GO CANADA GO!
